A Western Disturbance (WD) is likely to hit and can cause widespread light to moderate rain or snow on November 29 and 30 over Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The Meteorological Department forecasts that the weather will remain generally cloudy, with light to moderate rain or snow in fairly widespread places and the possibility of thunderstorms or lighting in a few places for two days starting on Thursday.
The weather currently is generally cloudy at most places, and there is a possibility of light rain or snow at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours, the MeT office said.
The weather would generally remain partly to generally cloudy from December 1 to 6, it said.
A significant improvement in minimum temperature was observed over many stations of Kashmir division due to cloudiness today, while barring Srinagar, the day temperature also witnessed a slight rise.
Shallow to moderate fog continues over many places in the Kashmir division, disrupting normal activities.
